Robert Prescott is looking for strategic thinkers and drinkers to join him for Whiskey & War Games, a monthly board game event.
God’s Going to Cut You Down: A Civil War Wargame is a tactical war game inspired by “Kriegspeil”. This game simulates engagements during the American Civil War. Players command infantry, cavalry, and artillery units, make operational decisions, and generate orders to achieve victory. The game emphasizes challenges of span of control, the tactical patience required in command, and clear guidance. The true purpose of this game is to explore how generally available AI tools, like ChatGPT, can be used to make wargaming easier and more immersive. Back-Up games will include Diplomacy. Players can feel free to bring their own games to the evening, their own refreshments, and be open to chipping in for delivery (pizza probably) that night!
