My name is Meryl Mulligan. I'm running for her fourth term on the GSCA Board of Directors. I've really enjoyed working with fellow board members and residents during my last two terms. Utilizing my skills as an attorney, I have advocated for the interests of young families in Ghent Square and routinely organizes neighbor get togethers. If you see me out and about with my two young sons, puppy and husband, please stop and say hi!

I am a full-time attorney and mom of two small children, ages 3 and 5. My husband and I own two units in Ghent Square, including our home. We love our community. I would enjoy the opportunity to continue contributing as a Board member to ensure that our community standards are maintained while making sure our neighborhood remains a safe and fun place for residents of all ages and interests.

I worked for the Navy for 26 years managing environmental projects such as storm water, natural resources and Environmental Impact Statements for operational issues. I have gotten to know my neighbors mainly through pickleball, participating in Let’s Get Connected events and hosting the Beer Tasting event. I have coordinated food drives with the local food bank, volunteered in the Ohef Sholom food kitchen, and helped repair compost bins at the Fred Heutte Center. I have served on the Botetourt Park North condo board. I love being involved with projects that improve the well-being of our neighborhood. I enjoy working diligently with other board members to accomplish common goals to make Ghent Square event better.

Jon Davis has served on the Ghent Square Board since April 2021, currently contributing as Vice President and an active member of the Maintenance Committee. After completing a 25-year career on active duty as a U.S. Army officer, Jon, his wife Kate, and their sons Charlie and Nick chose Ghent Square as their top-choice neighborhood when relocating in January 2019. They were drawn to its walkable, vibrant character, fabulous pool and recreational amenities, and the strong sense of community shared by friends living here.

Bringing a strong background in leadership and a dedication to service, Jon is focused on ensuring Ghent Square remains an exceptional place to call home. His priority on the Board centers on proactive oversight of management, contracts, and maintenance of the community's first-class recreational facilities, clubhouse, and shared common grounds, while enhancing value for residents and ensuring Ghent Square remains a premier, highly desirable neighborhood within the Hampton Roads region. Since becoming a board member, I have worked to keep our green spaces and our facilities in proper order. I have enjoyed being on the board and having the opportunity to speak to so many of our homeowners.. I would love to continue to serve you as a board member.

Nancy has lived in Ghent Square for the past 12 years. She currently serves on our Board of Directors as Treasurer. Nancy is also involved in the social/recreation committee, coming up with "happenings" for the community to encourage friendship and camaraderie. You can find her most weekday mornings on the pickleball court where she says "her level of skill does not yet match her level of commitment.

Before retiring a few years ago, Nancy spent 45 years working for the federal government, primarily in the field of labor relations. She enjoys spending time with her two grown children and four grandchildren, all of whom live very nearby.
