How much are Ghent Square HOA dues/assessments in 2024?
HOA assessments in the amount of $260 are due quarterly on the 1st of January, April, July and October ($1040/year). A coupon booklet will not be sent to you. If you mail in your assessment, please include your name, street address and account number on the check and send to:

If you would like to pay online, you can set up automatic payments through your bank. You can also log into your TownSq account and pay via www.Kliknpay.com (use zip code 23507), or pay with your credit card for a small convenience fee.  If you have questions or need your account number, please contact the Association Manager.

Where can I find my account number?
You can find your HOA account number  by logging into your TownSq account. If you have not created a TownSq account, contact the Association Manager for your account number.

How much are Affiliate membership dues?
Full Affiliate membership dues are $700/year and Courts Only Affiliate dues are $300/year.  Send dues to:

Can I pay with my TownSq account?
You can pay your dues by credit card or have it taken out of your bank account for a fee by logging into TownSq. When making a credit or debit (including autopay) payment online there is a $2.95 convenience fee plus 3.5% of the total payment amount ($12 per quarterly payment). When making a payment via E-Check, there is only a $2.95 convenience fee. Simply log into your TownSq account and then click on the “Check My Payments” box and follow the instructions.

Who manages Ghent Square?
Associa Community Group is Ghent Square’s professional association management company. They are located at 4534 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. If you have questions about your account, contact them directly at (757) 499-2200.

I just moved into the neighborhood. Is there a Welcome Package ?
Associa Community Group sends new homeowners a Welcome Packet that includes a booklet full of useful HOA information. Click here to download the latest copy of the Welcome booklet.

Where can I get a copy of the resident directory?

We have a few Resident & Affiliate Directories in the clubhouse. You also also log into your TownSq account to find your neighbors’ information, check your account balance, and discuss issues with fellow residents in the Forum. If you don’t have a TownSq account, contact the Association Manager.

I’m selling my property in Ghent Square. Do I need to submit a Resale Package?
Because your property is located in an HOA, your realtor will need to submit a Resale Package. Your realtor can log into Community Archives to start the process.

What is the Architectural Review Board (ARB)?
ARB volunteers conduct an Annual Inspection of each property in Ghent Square in the spring of each year. The purpose of the inspection is to ensure that properties are maintained and home values preserved. If they felt some aspect of your residence needed to be maintained, they will issue you a citation. Learn more about community guidelines here.

I want to place a construction dumpster and/or POD on my property. Do I need a permit?
If placing a POD or temporary construction dumpster on your property or Ghent Square property, you’ll need to first complete an ARB Request Form. If you’re placing a POD on a city street, contact the City of Norfolk. If placing a construction dumpster on a city street, you’ll need a permit from the City of Norfolk.

When is trash day and where do I put my receptacles?
The City of Norfolk picks up trash every Tuesday and recyclables every other Tuesday. Bins must be secured behind an enclosure and not visible from the street. See ARB Guidelines for more information.

Do I need ARB approval to build a shed?
Yes. All modifications to the exterior of the home require ARB approval (Architectural Review Board). Modifications include fences, sheds, roofing, siding, drives, awnings, etc.

Can I fly a flag or post a sign in front of my home?
Only the American flag is allowed to be flown in Ghent Square. No signs of any kind are allowed to be posted in Ghent Square.

Where can I park my car?
There are a variety of parking spots located throughout the neighborhood. See a list of free and reserved parking spots at Parking. Contact the Association Manager for more information.

How do I unlock the gate at the pickleball/tennis courts? 
Residents can pick up a keycard at the Ghent Square office/clubhouse located at 852 Mowbray Arch (next to the pool). Additional or replacement keycards cost $10 and will be charged to the homeowner’s account.

Can anyone use the pool or pickleball/tennis courts? 

You must be a Ghent Square resident or guest to use the the pool and tennis/pickleball courts. If you live within a certain boundary, you may qualify to register as an Affiliate Member and use the facilities for a fee.

When is the pool open?
The pool opens Memorial Day weekend and closes the weekend after Labor Day. Residents can sign up online for a pool pass. Learn more on the Amenities page.

Can I rent the clubhouse for an event? 
Ghent Square homeowners with up-to-date accounts can reserve the clubhouse online at TownSq. Renters must have the homeowner’s permission to rent the clubhouse since it is tied to the homeowner’s account. A reservation is not confirmed until the rental deposit check is received at the office.
